It is quite unfortunate that we starve God desperate his faithfulness to us. In Psalm 100:4-5, the Bible says
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."
This week, however, we should cultivate a habit of praise because that is what God wishes for us. It's not just about making requests; sometimes simply praising God is enough to answer your prayers. This week, here are five reasons why we should praise God:
1. God Is The Source Of Our Being And Life.
We need to acquire the practice of praising him this week since he made us in his own image and breathed life into us. All of the things we have today were created by Him, and despite our lack of merit, He granted us sovereignty over them. He is deserving of our admiration.
2. God Made Us To Be Able To See Him.
The fact that he made us in order for us to recognize himself in us is reason enough to appreciate Him. We don't worship God nearly as much as the angels, therefore it wouldn't be much different if God hadn't made us. There must be a distinction now that he has made us. He lives in His people's praises.
3. We Are His Thoughts
He spends a lot of time thinking about us because he adores us. His love for us is greater than we can comprehend, and it is for this reason that we should celebrate Him this week. We need to praise Him more and more for continually thinking about us and showing us that he loves us.
4. His Mercy Will Last Forever
The Lord is a merciful God, as we can see in our own lives. His mercies have transported us from darkness into His wonderful light, and it is a major reason for us to celebrate Him this week. The mercies of God are responsible for everything we have today. Don't withhold your praises from God.
5. He Has Overwhelmed Us With All The Good Things Of Life
Another reason to thank God is because he has provided us with all of life's good things at no cost. He freely gave us salvation, His son, the Comforter, and a variety of other gifts, and we will be ungrateful if we do not praise Him.
Finally, this week, make it a practice to praise God. Make sure you do it on a daily basis so you get used to it. You may rest guaranteed that at the end of the week, you will have testimony.
