FG Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 3, 2021, public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day celebration.

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Shuaib Belgore.

The Minister congratulated workers for witnessing this year’s celebration.

Apostle Suleiman Drops New Prophetic Declaration

On Thursday, 29th of April, 2021 The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleiman released another powerful prophetic declaration for people, via his official twitter handle.

The apostle wrote:

"Anyone contemplating to help you right now, may they help speedily. Anyone who has promised you support but has not fulfilled it, may they perform swiftly. May you be the light, eagle, and ladder in your family in Jesus name".

"Please Let Me Kill Myself"- Baba Ijesha Begs

Embattled Yoruba film actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka, better known as Baba Ijesha has begged that he should be allowed to kill himself instead of going to jail over rape allegations against him.

With expression of guilt, Baba Ijesha in a video shared on Twitter by Concerned Nigerians on Thursday, said he is sorry for abusing the girl and begged that he should be forgiven.

The actor when he noticed he pleas are falling on deaf ears begged that he should be allowed to kill himself instead of facing the penalty for the crime he committed seven years ago.

Shekau Appoints New Commander Of War

Abubakar Shekau, factional head of Boko Haram has appointed Abu Muhammad as the new Amirul Jaysh (Commander of War).

Shekau announced the replacement after killing the former Commander, Abu Fatimah.

According to PRNigeria, Shekau personally shot and killed Abu Fatimah last week for allegedly betraying the sect.

An informant said that two other senior commanders were also eliminated by Shekau.

Gunmen Abducts Students In Plateau

Four students of Capro Secondary Mission School located at Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State were abducted in the early hours of Thursday.

However, three of the students have escaped, while one is still in captivity.

The school is an arm of Calvary ministries.

Capro is few kilometres away from the Yakubu Gowon airport and about 60 kilometres from Jos, the state capital.

Buhari To Face Impeachment Over Insecurity-Lawmaker

A member of the Federal House of Representatives has warned lawmakers would call for the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari if insecurity in Nigeria persists.

Dachung Bagos, representing Jos South East, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, issued the warning on Thursday during an interview with Channels TV.

The lawmaker warned that if resolutions arrived at the summit were not implemented, “we’ll call for the resignation of the president.”

He added, “We have the power to impeach the president that he cannot do this; he can no longer secure lives and properties of Nigerians".
