"There's Nothing Like OBIdient Movement; It Was Churches That Mobilized Their Members To Form It" -Asari Dokubo

In a recent live broadcast made by Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo of Rivers state, he spoke about the supporters of Mr. Peter Gregory Obi who are known as 'Obidients' and the recently-concluded presidential election.

Regarding the supporters of Peter Obi, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, "before the presidential election was conducted, I told you all that Peter Gregory Obi of the labour party was treading the wrong path of religious politics. He even had a dangerous band behind him called the OBIdient movement. There is nothing like OBIdient movement because it was the churches that mobilized their members to form the movement. The movement is mainly strong in Rivers state and Lagos state."

Speaking further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, "one of the permutations they made was that if the 3 Muslim presidential candidates share the votes coming from their bloc, the main opposing candidate of other faith will win." He made an allegation saying, "another permutation was that most of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) posted to Rivers were christians who were in support of Peter Obi's candidacy."

Again, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, "on the day of the presidential election, I saw officials of INEC shouting labour party. From the way they count votes, you will know already that they are compromised. Most of them could not hide their partisanship. The videos of what I am saying are everywhere. Despite all they did, God showed them that he is more than them."

Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, "if anyone of you sees the squalor in Anambra state, you will not be able to fathom why Peter Gregory Obi came out to contest for the seat of the presidency. Anambra state is a commercial gold mine but it was not developed."
