All Churches Should Fully Re-open Nationwide On 2nd August (Opinion)

As you can see all date for other activities in the country has been announced, governorship election dates for some states, dates for school resumption, admission commencement date and others sectors have resumed except the religious sector. Now who can explain this? and why are they doing this?

Recently, the dates for school was announced and they still ignored the religious aspect of the country, Ondo election and Edo State elections date have been set, so why won't churches re-open, is it not the same crowd and people?

Am dropping my opinion and suggestions here for the Nigerian government to reopen all churches and mosques nationwide on 2nd August.

They should re-open churches and mosques with same guidelines on how they have re-open other sectors, guidelines like:

1. Washing of hands with soap and water before entering the church.

Washing of hands is effective in preventing the virus entering the human body, so they should implement this guidelines and re-open churches nationwide as soon as possible.

2. Using of face mask and gloves in the church and also outside the church environment.

This also should be done, face mask has been used since the pandemic has started, it should continue and churches should re-open with that, they should make use of it in the church.

3. Maintaining physical distance in the church.

Physical distance can still be maintained in the church, the members should sit like 5 in a bench instead of 8 and if using plastic chair they should give themselves a little space or skip a chair as the distance when sitting.

With these guidelines above, the Nigerian government should move forward without thinking twice and fully re-open all churches and mosques on August 2nd.
