The Celestial Church of Christ body has reacted to the news of the death of a Lagos socialite, Kayode Badiru who got burnt in a celestial church during a service when the pastor in charge was spraying him undiluted perfume near candlelight.
Kayode Badiru was said to have come back from overseas when he went for a church program on Wednesday, during the service the pastor was spraying undiluted perfume in his body and attracted the candlelight around him to burn him, he was later rushed to the hospital where he later died.
Reacting to the incident, the celestial church of Christ body has said that henceforth no pastor should spray undiluted perfume on members again, as it is not in the doctrine of the celestial church of Christ from the onset, it was made known in a memo that was released yesterday that the founder of the church in the person of SBJ Oshofa never practised that, as he used to dilute his perfumes before spraying them on members.
