Meaning Of Psalm 51:6 That You Need To Know

God wants his children to know wisdom, and this is because it gives life to anyone who possesses it, and according to Proverbs 4:7&16 and Proverbs 3:19, wisdom is the principal thing, and by it, God found the earth, and Proverbs 3:16 also reveals that length of days, riches, and honor are with wisdom. This means that anyone who has wisdom will obtain riches and honor, and as Proverbs 24:2 states, he or she will be able to build his or her house by it.

Since the wisdom of God is Jesus Christ (1Corinthians 1:24), and John 17:17 and 14:6 reveals that he is the word of God and the truth, God wants his children to have his word dwell in them richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16) so that they can speak the truth in love and also walk in wisdom with those who are without (unbelievers) in other to redeem the time (Colossians 4:5, Ephesians 4:15), and Psalm 51:6 reveals something deep about it which I want to share in this article with you.

Here is the meaning of Psalm 51:6.

" Behold, thou desires truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me know wisdom."

According to the Bible passage above, " Behold, thou desires truth in the inward parts", this means that God desires the truth about his word in the inward parts. The inward parts here refer to the heart of a man, and when God reveals one's sins by his word, he wants the truth to be said in accordance to what to the revelation of his word. When God made the sin of King David known to him through Prophet Nathan, he confesses to the truth revealed by the word of the Lord, which means he acknowledges his sin and admit he commits them. According to 1John 1:10, if we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word (truth) is not in us.

" And in the hidden part thou shalt make me know wisdom.", this second part of the Bible passage means that God will make one to know wisdom in one's spirit, and this is because God's word is spirit and life, and since it's also the truth and wisdom, God reveals it in the spirit of man to make him know about sin, and it's consequences, and also the way to overcome it, and the way is to confess it and forsake it to obtain mercy and forgiveness from God Proverbs 16:6 reveals that iniquity is purged by mercy and truth, and by the fear of the Lord, men (males and females) depart from evil.

This means that through the truth, one obtains forgiveness and cleansing from iniquity or sins, and by the fear of the Lord, men forsake or depart from iniquity, and according to Job 28:28, the fear of the Lord by which men depart from iniquity, is wisdom.
