Ese Brume is carrying my name to places I have never been - Bishop David Oyedepo

Nigerians are still in the euphoria of the triumphs of Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume. Both ladies represented the country in the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, where they both made it to the podium in their respective events. The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo made some revelations about one of his daughters while he spoke to members at Midweek Communion Service, Canaanland, Ota.

During the sermon, he brought up the story of one of his daughters in the faith who won the Olympics medal in Tokyo and had gone on to win another silver medal.

According to him, He listened to her interview with the press and she said when he was challenged they began to pray in the spirit. That is the Helper. She came over to see Bishop Oyedepo one day and told him about some strains on one of her legs and he declared authoritatively, "No! You are out of it."

According to him, it is the first time a Nigerian will ever do it. He also pin pointed her open identification with Jesus and how Jesus is raising people today. It is not by posing, it is by connecting. Connect with your helper. Jealously guard His ministry in your life. She said I thank God for my father, Bishop David Oyedepo. "She is just carrying my name to where I have never been," the Bishop said.

He revealed to the congregation how she returned from the Tokyo Olympics and dedicated her bronze medal to him. He also disclosed that he had never been to Tokyo before. "I said keep the medal", He said, but she said, "No!"

She said she had told God she was giving this medal to her father, and God gave her another medal, isn’t God wonderful?

Bishop David Oyedepo went on to charge his members with the following statements, "We are going places, we are not cracking jokes here. If you won’t take responsibility nothing will happen. Principles of the kingdom are being pushed out in changing stories."
