Daddy Freeze Reacts To Aisha Yesufu's Post Praising Couple Who Had Church Wedding Without Reception

The convener of Free the Sheeple and broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze has said that church wedding is unscriptural. He stated this while reacting to a post made by Aisha Yesufu praising the energy of a couple who had church wedding but refused to do wedding reception.

Daddy Freeze while reacting on his Facebook page cautioned Christians against denouncing scriptural practices in favor of non scriptural, man-made traditions and ideologies.

He said that according to scripture, Christ attended a wedding ‘reception’ and as a matter of fact, performed his very first miracle of turning water into wine there (John2:1-10).

He submitted that in views of the above, wedding reception is scriptural while Church wedding is not.

Citing the example of Laban in the Bible book of Genesis 29:22 and John chapter 2, where Jesus attended a wedding reception in Cana, he said there is no such thing as a ‘Church’ wedding. He pointed out that church wedding is nothing but a man-made idea. He further disclosed that church was never given authority to conduct any wedding in the Bible.

Daddy Freeze revealed that a closer look at the wedding in Cana shows that Jesus Christ did not at any time pray at the wedding or officiate it. He said according to scripture, wedding was strictly a family affair.

Daddy Freeze furthermore stated that although many people are burdened beyond their reasonable ability by societal demands for extravagant wedding receptions, that should not create the room to set aside God’s word.

He suggested that church wedding should be scrapped entirely because it’s unscriptural and unchristian. He said instead of church wedding, couples should pray and call upon God to join them in their homes and hold the reception that their pocket can contain.
