Gov Wike and Others Joins HRM Omunakwe Nyeche, the Apiti of Rumueme Kingdom For Thanksgiving Service

According to reports, the Rivers State Executive Governor, His Excellency Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike (CON) and other Elder Statesmen of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Traditional Rulers across Rivers State, had joined the Apiti of Rumueme Kingdom, His Royal Majesty King Omunakwe Nyeche Nsirim (M.O.N), for Thanksgiving service which was held today being Sunday 25th July 2021.

The Thanksgiving service was held at the St. John's Anglican Church Communion Mile 4 Rumueme Port Harcourt Rivers State. And the service was led by the Bishop of the Niger Delta North in the Anglican Province of Niger Delta, Rt. Rev. Wisdom Budu Ihunwo, who is the resident Bishop of the Rumueme Anglican Church.

During the sermon of Bishop Wisdom Budu Ihunwo, which he titled "seeking for God's forgiveness and mercy". He exhorted the congregation to always seek the mercy of God continually for themselves and the Country, as everyone only lives by the grace of God and his unending mercies. He further preached that Nigeria is at a critical point in its history where only God's mercy can offer the needed salvation to lift it up again.

Gov Nyesom Wike while given a speech at the Church, urged the Apiti of Rumueme Kingdom, HRM King Omunakwe Nyeche, to unite the kinsmen and leaders in his Kingdom together, adding that violence and division can never bring development and growth to his Kingdom if there is no peace.

The Thanksgiving service was successful and in attendance were, Senator Lee Maeba, Sir Celestine Omehia (Former Rivers Governor), Ambassador Desmond Akawor (Rivers PDP State's Party Chairman), and several other Paramount Rulers and Dignitaries.
