Father Mbaka's reaction after a priest was reportedly burnt in his house

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), finally responded to the killing of a Nigerian priest in Niger State by urging his followers to abstain from violence in a video posted on the church's Facebook page.

It could be recalled that when gunmen attempted to break into Rev. Isaac Achi's home in the Paikoro neighborhood of Niger State, they were unsuccessful and instead set it on fire. According to reports, this occurred on January 15, 2023. The governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, reportedly said that this action sent a message that no one is safe, which led to widespread international condemnation of this "ugly" incident.

In the video at 2:33, Rev. Fr. Mbaka says, "Don't kill the agitators, listen to their cries. Even military personnel are agitating silently. Do you know how many priests have been murdered or taken hostage? I recently read in the news about a pastor's family being abducted. The one who was burned alive in his home as a priest was the one who moved me the most. since they are unable to speak? Silently agitated are the priests. Run away from anything that will cause the people in your vicinity to cry. Before religion, we are all simply humans".
