In a very aggressive faction Bishop David Oyedepo asked Christians in Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti to continue to pray against the opening of Churches in these states. He said this at the church Wednesday's communion service. The service had ended when he suddenly said the Holy Spirit ministered to him that there is a gang up of hell against the opening of Churches in these three states, when most states in Nigeria have opened the doors of Churches. So Christians must pray to break the demonic forces.
For Oyedepo has been speaking against the shutdown of Churches and Schools by the government, while market places are opened up for operations. He believes that the schools and churches are a better place to adhere to the regulations of social distancing and sanitizeation association with the control of coronavirus spread, than the market places. More so that there has not been any report of an outbreak of coronavirus in Churches, nor even in the unregulated market places.
Truly, Bishop Oyedepo's reasoning is very apt, for the coronavirus control procedures in Nigeria has been one of doubt and many lies, even from the NCDC, the agency that was supposed to control the spread of the disease was more interested in the spread of the disease. And several claims of coronavirus being in places that never had contact with infect persons, became a common occurrence; in a way that in lockdown, the figures of coronavirus infected persons kept increasing unimaginably.
