See How People Described This Catholic Priest On His 11th Priestly Ordination Anniversary.

Catholic faithfuls from across the world especially from the Diocese of Awka have taken to Facebook to celebrate a Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Theodore Ekwem on his 11th Priestly Anniversary.

Rev. Fr. Theodore Ekwem is currently the Administrator of Bubendoff MG School, Adazi Nnukwu. He has been there for more than 4 years now.

Born 41 years ago, Fr. Theo as he is fondly called hails from Owerre-Ezekula in Orumba South, home to the famous Ogbaukwu Cave and Water Falls. Father has been described by many as Teacher, Shepherd, Pastor, Quintessential Gentleman and Youth Advocate. He has been described as an astute administrator who has keen interest in human capital management.

He attended Pope John Major Seminary Okpuno, Awka and Blessed Iwene Tansi for his Priestly formations. Fr. Theo is a First Honors student in both Philosophy and Theology.

His first place of assignment post ordination in 2009 was as Assistant Chaplain to the Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students, St Joseph the Worker Chaplaincy, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, where he was a firebrand teacher and Preacher of the Scriptures.

While serving there, he provided mentorship and spiritual guidance to thousands of students. This led to many making conscious decisions that improved their lives with some gaining scholarships to study up to PhD levels outside the country.

He has consistently kept in touch with his mentees from Unizik, many of whom are scattered in the UK, US, Canada, China, Australia, Germany, Ghana etc., and many of them took to Facebook to congratulate him.

Now at Bubendoff School as Administrator, Father has led transformational change initiatives there repositioning the school to become a strong competitor within the Southeast region.

Father Theo is a very simple man who loves to engage young people. He is a promoter of peace and believes in young people helping themselves.

He believes he is a youth and his apostolate and priestly mission is to serve the youth and bring them to God's kingdom.
