What The Bible Said About The Sun And The Moon

There is one spiritual thing about the sun and the moon that was revealed in the bible, and which most people, even Christians, don't know about. This thing is the fact that the sun and the moon have the power to fight spiritual battles. Hence, this article would seek to expose you to one bible passage where it is located, as well as one person in the bible who used the sun in his favor. At this juncture, lets get started.

Where Can I find this mystery in the Bible?

Well, this mystery can be found in the book of Psalms chapter 121 verses 6. This bible passage says that;

"The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night."

Here Is an Explanation of the Bible Verse:

From the Bible passage above, we were told that the sun shall not smite us by day, nor the moon by night. Now, the key word we should note is the word 'smite'. To smite means to put up a hard blow on someone or something. In the bible, the word 'smite' was mostly associated with killing or striking of someone or something. Knowing this, it would be logical to conclude that the sun and the moon both have the ability to smite someone spiritually. They are elements of nature that have spiritual power.

Furthermore, the passage also revealed that the sun and moon have their respective times for smiting. That of the sun is during the day, and that of the moon is during the night. Therefore, you should use the appropriate one at the appropriate time to ensure an appropriate victory over your spiritual enemies.

But Who Used the Sun and the Moon in His Favor?

The biblical figure who used the sun in his favor was Joshua (Joshua chapter 10 verses 13 and 14) . He did this when he commanded the sun and the moon to stand still. He made this command when they were fighting against their enemies. Found among them were the Amorites. It was recorded that Joshua had a great victory. The LORD fought for Israel, and the Sun and the Moon were used as instruments to accomplish that victory. Therefore, I counsel every christian to understand and use this mystery to their own advantage. God bless you as you do so.
