Use These Verses From Psalm To Render Praises To God

“Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly” Psalm 111:1, NIV

“Praise” has been described as “acknowledging the personality of God, who He is and what He is capable of doing, while “Thanksgiving” is acknowledging the deeds of God, what He has done and is still doing among His people.

In today’s passage, the Psalmist expresses both. We should praise and thank God because He alone does great and awesome deeds vs.2; He is gracious and compassionate and His works shall be remembered forever vs.4; He provides for our daily needs and keeps His covenant forever vs.5; His promises are trustworthy and reliable vs.7; and finally, because of His redemptive acts towards us vs.9.

Have you mastered the act of praising God or you always allow your heart to be filled with anxiety? The secret of victorious living is praise. Also, gratitude is the way to the top. The psalmist gives the secret to living a “praise-full” life in verse 10: it is to live in the fear (reverence) of God. This is wisdom. Beloved, it is a good thing to praise God. Think of the wonderful things He has done for you in the last few months of this year and praise Him right now!
