Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly referred to as T. B. Joshua, is a Nigerian charismatic pastor, televangelist and philanthropist. He is the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, a Christian megachurch that runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.
Prophet T. B Joshua has thanked the Federal Government for announcing the reopening of worship centres nationwide in Nigeria after the indefinite nationwide lockdown.
Yet, the prophet insisted that his church will not open for now, and will remain shut.
The prophet said he will not gather his congregation until he "hears from God" to do so.
Prophet TB Joshua, whose church is one of Nigeria's major tourist attraction, said he received a "revelation" from God about the church's initial closure.
In a statement the prophet released on his official Facebook account, said:
"Viewers, that same God we are waiting to hear from on when to reopen - when things will go back to normal- as usual."
He also said " God's time is the best. We are waiting at his feet for that time. We are praying for the Holy Spirit's instruction. Praying without ceasing."
He however said that he would continue his usual broadcast on Emmanuel TV until he "hears from God when to reopen".
He laid emphasis on the fact that what he does is God's work, and not his... thus, he follows God's instructions.
