Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi reacts to attacks by the public on issue of shoe wearing by dignitaries

Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi is the founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church Cherubim and Seraphim. She was recently criticized by some members of the Cherubim and Seraphim communities for allowing some dignitaries to enter the church with shoes.

During the event of her church's dedication, dignitaries including the Ooni of Ife and Pastor Enoch Adeboye were present at the event. Acting differently from the church's beliefs of not wearing foot wears into the church, these dignitaries were seen with their shoes. This did not go down well with some members of the church.

The head of the church Reverend Mother Esther has reacted to the accusations. She admonished them not to take the issue seriously. she said God will show mercy on those that attended.

In her very words:

"I don’t want to dwell on the footwear issue. How do I control about 10,000 people who want to come and honor God? And it’s everybody that wants to enter at the same time. Do I somersault on them? When about twenty traditional rulers sat down. Even me that invited them had entered midway into the church before I realized that I was still on my footwear. It was inside the church that I had to remove it to give to someone...This does not mean that I am encouraging such practice. But there are days that God gives such grace. He is a merciful God".

Do you think it was necessary to have accused the church leader? What is your take on this? Share your thoughts in the comment session.
