Biblical Explanation Of Colossians 3:16 That You Need To Know

One of the most important instructions which God has given to his children in the Holy Bible is that they should let the word of Christ dwell in them richly in all wisdom, and this is because Christ is the wisdom of God (1Corinthians 1:24) and according to Proverbs 4:7, wisdom is the principal thing and one should get it with understanding, and Ephesians 3:17 reveals that one should let Christ dwell in one's heart by faith. This means that Christ is God's wisdom that one needs to get with understanding and by faith, one should let Christ dwell in one's heart richly in all wisdom, and the reason is to be able to walk in wisdom with those who are without (unbelievers) in other to redeem the time (Colossians 4:5), and since Galatians 3:27 reveals that those who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (God's wisdom), Colossians 3:16 gives a deeper meaning about it that I want to share with you in this article.

Here is the Biblical explanation of Colossians 3:16.

According to the first part of the Bible passage, " Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom", this means you should let the word that Christ speaks through the Holy Spirit dwell in you in all wisdom, and according to Ephesians 5:18, you should be filled with the Spirit. This means that you should be filled with the words of Christ that the Holy Spirit reveals or teaches you, and John 6:63 reveals that it is the Spirit that quickens.

This second part of the Bible passage " teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.", means that through the words of Christ that you have been allowed to dwell richly in you in all wisdom, you should teach and admonish other people in Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and you should sing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. According to 2Peter 1:2, grace and peace are multiplied through the knowledge of God and that of Jesus Christ, and since the words of Christ are his knowledge, having it dwelling in you richly in all wisdom will help you to walk in wisdom with unbelievers and you will know how to answer every man (Colossians 4:5), and you will as well be able to ask anything you want from God, and as he has promised in John, he will do whatever you ask (John 15:7).
