The issue of tithes and offerings payment has been an object of debate for awhile now in the Christendom. While some are of the opinion that payment of tithe and offerings are commandments from God, others tend to argue that it's not compulsory.
Regardless of the divergent view about the matter, lots of Christians still pay their tithes and offerings to their various churches.
A Nigerian Preacher who is the Chief Executive Officer of Gemsbok Group, Charles Awuzie has taken to his verified Facebook page to react to the recent statement by Pastor William Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Church as regards tithes and offerings.
Charles Awuzie said this is the time for people to admit that they are sinners to get back their tithes. He added that anyone compiling the list should include his name as number one.
Recall that Pastor Kumuyi had recently said he would return tithes and offerings paid by sinners if he could identify them, saying God doesn't need money from sinners.
“If you are a sinner here, God does not need your money. All the money you are giving in this church does not get to God. You are just wasting your money. As a matter of fact if I know the numbers of sinners here and how much they gave as tithes and offering I will remove it and give it back to them. God does not need it and the church does not need it", the cleric was quoted to have said.
