Ministry And Medicine: The Double-Edged Sword The Enenches Have Applied To Remain Relevant

The founder and senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC) - Dr. Paul Enenche - and his wife - Dr. Becky Enenche - are one couple every young minister wants to be like in their marriage. This is especially because both couples are known by many to share a strong bond.

According to this video, Becky explained how she and Paul had met in school during their undergraduate days, as they were both medical students in the same College of Medicine.

However, in this other video, Becky further explained that she and her husband were practicing medicine in Jos when Enenche received confirmation about his call and decided to launch out fully into ministry. Ever since then Enenche and his wife have been at the helms of affairs in DGIC.

Notwithstanding, the Enenches, in their pursuit for excellence in ministry, have not altogether left out their secular skill. On the contrary, they have been able to inculcate both ministry and medicine together, and this has proven to be an effective tool in making the ministry a relevant one.

Aside from the outreaches, that are termed to be more spiritually inclined - for instance, crusades, evangelism, etc - some outreaches are more health inclined, where there is a need for people to receive enlightenment in certain areas regarding their health.

According to Today NG, during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Paul and Becky Enenche visited the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, to not only give food items but also medicine, as it was part of their ministry-medicine agenda.

This model of ministry that the Enenches operates by, is, therefore, likened to a sword that is sharp on both sides, and has made the ministry, DLBC, remain relevant, as it has also made their ministerial outreaches (including medical) more effective.
