You have been listening to the word of God from many preachers without limits. You listen on tape, on Television, on the radio, in books, and service on Sundays but do you really know much about the word? If the only thing you do is listen without digging deep to know its significance, it means you are still lagging.
For the benefit of knowing more about the word, I want to draw your attention to three things you probably don't know about it. The aim of this article is to open your eyes for more understanding and I believe it would go a long way.
1. The word of God is life.
This is more than what you can imagine. As you read your Bible daily, you are reading to understand the word of God. This word you want to understand is the same thing as the life you are living. With the word, the dead are brought back to life. In the book of John chapter 11, Jesus Christ used the word to bring back Lazarus who was dead for 4 days to life.
In the Book of Ezekiel, we were made to understand the significance of the word. The word is so powerful that through it, dried bone rose again. This is to tell you that through the word, life can be given to lifeless beings. Since you are studying the word, the power is within you but you might not know.
2. The word of God is God.
This might sound paradoxical to you but it does make sense. If you want to know God, study his word for you can't know God without first, studying his word. His word came through him and the word is His identity. Let us read from the book of John chapter 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. NIV
3. The word of God is a creator
The Earth we are living in today would have still been void if not for the word of God. When God was about to create the world, He didn't create it with the parts of His body. He created the world with his words. Let us read from the book of Genesis chapter 1:1-3.
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. KJV
How was light created here? Through a simple sentence "Let there be light". This is to tell you that His word has the ability to create hence, a creator. The book of John Chapter 1:2-3 further describes the word this;
2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. NIV
You can use the word of God to do these things if only you know it and believe in it. With the word of God, you can create, and bring back to life, that which is considered dead.
Please if God has blessed you through this article, kindly share.
