While the Overall head of the Winners Chapel, in person of Bishop David Oyedepo, has warned his church members not take the vaccine, stating that it is lethal and has not been proven to be safe, Pastor Adeboye declared that he was not stopping anyone from taking this vaccine for the following reasons:
Firstly, the Pastor said that if anyone is in doubt of their health or safety, they could go ahead and take it. This is further to let each one exercise their freedom of belief and level of grace or faith.
Secondly, the Pastor also said in his own words, that, “If vaccination is going to hinder me from doing the work that God has called me to do, if they ask me to get vaccinated 10 times, I would be vaccinated.” In other words, he finds now harm in being vaccinated as long as it helps him to do the work of God more.
These reasons were stated in one of the monthly Holy Ghost conventions that the Pastor had with the church while addressing the people of God, encouraging them to be free to live for their level of faith in God.
