The consumption of alcohol has been a very contentious topic in Christendom. Are Christians meant to take alcohol? Is it regarded as a sin? What does the Bible say about alcohol consumption? The General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye in Open Heavens of 11th October, 2021 made some key explanations on alcohol.

Here are three things Pastor Adeboye mentioned about Alcohol consumption that Christians should take note of:
1 - The consumption of alcohol gives room for the manifestation of different types of sins like immorality, violence, evil imagination and others. This comes with demons possessing and manipulating the lives of believers.
2 - Pastor Enoch Adeboye used a bible scripture to justify his message. Proverb 23:31: "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright."

3 - The Demon of sorrow and sexual immorality is set in motion by alcohol. He backed this up by quoting Proverbs 23:22.

In summary according to the man of God, alcohol creates an avenue for demons to manifest in a person's life hence all believers should abstain from it.
