Bishop David Oyedepo has provided a glimpse of what might happen to Nigeria if they, in his words, repeat their 2015 error. During his sermon at the Covenant Hour of Prayer gathering, he revealed this realization.
In 2015, he warned the country not to choose the current administration; they have since seen the results of his warnings, he reminded his congregation.
"When I yelled this in 2015, some churchgoers were washing their mouths because they had experienced pepper. Not just statements made out of the blue, prophetic words are those that come from the Lord. God forbid if Nigeria commits another error "said he.
Before casting their ballots, he urged Nigerian voters to consider the next generation.
"It's time to consider the future. Time to consider the future Time to consider the upcoming generation It's time to envision a vibrant, progressive country. It's time to consider this, "said he.
Then he revealed the insight he had into what would happen to the country if they chose the incorrect leader. He vowed not to reveal the specifics of the vision, but he has been pleading with God to have mercy on the country and avert the repercussions.
"Although I won't reveal the other side, I had a horrifying vision. I've been pleading for God's mercy to triumph over this sinful, wicked country. On May 23, 1992, I had that vision. Not today. Every time, God opens up to his prophets. The good news is that the wicked will not escape punishment, so join your hands "he said.
