Two lessons to note from what Reno said about people who prioritize their cell phones over God

Many individuals today have engaged themselves deeply with their electronic devices that they find it hard to acknowledge God. The heartbreaking part of it is that they reach for their phone first immediately they wake up in the morning, thereby prioritizing their phone over God. For the fact that you woke up safe and sound in the morning, you should give thanks to the God you serve.

A few hours ago, media personality Reno Omokiri made a tweet on this while referring to people who prioritize the their Phone over God. According to him, many people who wake up from sleep first reach for their mobile phones but when disaster strikes the first thing they will do is to call on God. He made it clear that The name God or god refers to anything you worship. So if you worship your phone it only means that your phone is your god.

From this post made by reno, I observed two beneficial lessons which I will share with you in the rest of this article.

1. God should never be a second option in your life no matter how important something is to you. Even the Bible made us believe that we should seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing shall be added unto us.

2. Refer to God first in the morning before reaching out to any of your gadgets. Say your morning prayers and thank God wholeheartedly for the good deeds he has been doing in your life. In case you find yourself in a hurry whereby you can not say your normal prayers, below is a short prayer you can quickly recite;

" our father who is in heaven hallowed be thy name till your kingdom come, let you will be done on earth as it is done in heaven also give us this day our daily bread and forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil amen.
