Common Mistakes People Make in Ramadan That You Don't Know

Common Mistakes People Make in Ramadan That You Don't Know

1. Fasting on the first day

If you discover late that the month of Ramadan has started, you should stop eating and fasting for that day, making that day after the end of Ramadan / Eid.

2. Forget about the intention of fasting

There are people who do not fast intent, because they believe that this is something in the heart and it does not have to be verbal. They also believe that the intention needs to be made once at the beginning of Ramadan and not every day, and this is a mistake.

3. Tarawih prayer

On Tarawih, some believe that he does not pray on the first night of Ramadan, believing that it should start after the first day of fasting. They forget that the Islamic calendar extends over the moon, Morocco is the beginning of a new day.

4. Eating or drinking by mistake

Many people think that if you eat or drink by mistake, this will break the fast. this is not true. If you eat or drink by mistake, you continue to fast and do not need to spend the day.

5. Focusing on food

Focus to the point where people begin to worry about eating more than actual fasting. This is also consistent with spending piles of money on breakfast even though a person does not need to eat much food.

6. Make suhoor much before dawn

Eating suhoor a few hours after Tarawih and Isha prayer is wrong. It should be taken closer to the time of dawn.

7. Using a toothpick or toothbrush

Many people think that you cannot use a toothpick or toothbrush during Ramadan. This is false, because the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used a toothpick during Ramadan. You can also use toothpaste. The reasoning by scientists is that the toothpicks have flavor, so toothpaste is OK to use [if you don't eat it].

8. Intimacy

Many believe that sleeping with the husband throughout Ramadan is forbidden. This is not true. You can only do this during the times when you are fasting. Between Morocco and the dawn it may be done.

9. After menstruation

Many women believe that if the menstrual period ends and they do not wash, they cannot fast on that day (given that the menstruation ends at night, they sleep without taking a bath, and they wake up without a chance). This is not true, if a woman does ghusl, she still fasts.

10. After sexual intercourse

Many men believe that if he has intercourse with his wife and does not wash (similar to the above), then he does not fast the next day. This is not true, because he is fasting even if he does not wash. But it is a good idea to wash before fasting
