PRAYER: "O LORD, Please Divinely Visit Me Today".

Picture used for illustrative purpose

"17 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?

18 And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?" Job 7:17‭-‬18 KJV.

By God's grace, Job's statement in the two Bible verses above is revealing.

One of the things that is clear from the Bible verses is that God sees us worth much more than we see ourselves worth. The Bible calls it "magnify", in v 17 above. People may have a low opinion of you, you may even have a low opinion about yourself, but God's opinion about you is much more than you or anyone has about you.

It is also clear that God Almighty has set His heart upon man. God thinks about us regularly. It's not a matter of whether a person deserves such from God or not, it is a case of what God has chosen to do.

As a matter of fact, in the Bible book of Jeremiah 29:11a, the God said, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, ..."

By God's grace, of more importance to me in the Bible verses above is the fact that God Almighty visits us (man), every day. The Bible passage above says, "And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, ..." v 18a.

Knowing that God visits a person every morning should make such a person very happy. A person should be happy because of the importance and benefits of God's divine visitation to him or her.

Three importance or benefits of God's divine visitation to a person are:

Firstly, when God visits a person, it means that such a person is still alive. This is so because God Almighty is the God of the living not the dead.

The Bible in the book of Luke 20:38 says, "For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him."

So, God's visitation means that a person is still alive and once there is life, there is hope no matter what a person's present situation may be.

Secondly, God's visitation preserves a person. In the Bible book of Job 10:12, the Bible says, "Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit."

When God preserves a person, it means God has plans for such a person. It means that such a person is still very important to God. People preserve their valuables.

One of the dictionary definition of preserve means, "To keep up and reserve for personal or special use. (WordWeb dictionary). So, you see that you're more special to God than you think.

Thirdly, when God Almighty visits a person, He brings to pass whatever He has said concerning the person.

The Bible in Genesis 21:1 said, "And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken."

God visited Sarah, she conceived after that visitation and she gave birth to a son, Isaac, in her old age.

God's visitation is one thing that everyone should desire because of the benefits in such a visitation.

If a person is unrighteous, God's divine visitation to such a person could have a negative impact unless such a person repents. Numbers 16:29-34.
