Yesterday, it was reported that the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, reportedly criticized the Nigerian government due to the high level of insecuriy in different parts of the country, most especially in the area of banditry.
Based on these Mbaka's statements, several Nigerians reacted differently. But left for me, I really think that the Catholic Church needs to caution Rev Father Ejike Mbaka because of some statements he made and most especially, for criticizing President Buhari's government.
On several occasions, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka has made some provocative statements and I don't think that we need such in Nigeria now. As it is now, what we need in Nigeria is prayers and not such statements that came from Mbaka. We need God intervention in our dear country.
As we all know, Catholic Church is a well respected church anywhere in the world, so for a Catholic priest to come out and be making such provocative statements is not good at all. Therefore, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese should please step up now and do the needful.
We all know that we have insecurity issues in different parts of the country, but what we need now is the solution to all these insecurity issues and not such statements that came from Rev Father Ejike Mbaka.
On the other hand, the Federal Government and all the state governments must work together so as to find a lasting solution to all these insecurity issues in different parts of the country.
I know definitely that many people may disagree with me or kick against what I have just said here, but the truth still remains that we all are entitled to our own individual opinions and I have aired mine.
