Bishop David Oyedepo has come under fire for his recent assertion on tithe payment, reiterating that who ever doesn't pay his tithes is under a financial curse. The payment or non-payment of tithes has been subject to a whole lot of controversy on the Nigerian internet space over the last couple of years. While many believe it is a compulsory obligation for every Christian as directed in the holy book, others question what the taxes paid to the churches are actually used for. A whole lot are also of the opinion that they are used to set up businesses and establish schools for the sole purpose of making money, instead of using it for people who really needs it. But the Founder and Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide AKA Winners Chapel, Pastor David Oyedepo has taken to his official social media accounts to send warning to defaulting Christians. In his words, he said

"Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing, because when you're not paying your tithe, you're under a financial curse. #Tithe."

The Bishop's message has continued to generate divided opinions, see what people are saying
