Implications Of The Forbidden Fruit That Adam And Eve Ate In The Garden Of Eden

Genesis 3 : 1 - 24.

Our first parents, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God's instruction by eating forbidden fruit which God had earlier warned them no to touch or eat. The story is well known to everyone. Satan, in form of serpent tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit which was among the trees planted in the middle of the garden, mind you, there were different tree of fruits that were planted in the garden, the tree of life, tree of knowledge of good and evil and many others were there, they were permitted to eat all, except that of tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Devil tempted Eve she fell, there after, she gave the fruit to Adam to eat, unfortunately, Adam to fell and ate the fruit.

Now what the implications of of the forbidden fruit that Adam and Eve ate in the garden of Eden? First and formost, they lost the glory of God in the life, sin always removing God's glory from the sinner, when the glory of God departed from their lives, they discovered that they were naked and resulted to replace the glory with ordinary leaves.

Furthermore, everlasting curses came over them, they had to suffer to feed themselves, the woman had to pass through pains and difficulties before she could produce offspring.

Moreso, they were chased away from the garden and the finally judgement was they shall return to dust because out of dust they were made.

All the above curses extended to human race, including sickness and death, today, before a woman can give birth to a baby, she had to pass through pains and labour. People now work days and nights to sustain their lives, as far as feeding is concerned.

Thanks be to God for sending Jesus Christ to redeem us, if not after physical death, everlasting death in hell fire would have followed.

Moral lessons, we should endeavor to obey God's instructions so that everlasting death in hell fire will not be our portion, in the name of Jesus Christ.
