In regards to the Muslims' celebration tomorrow being the 19th of October 2021, his excellency, the executive governor of Rivers State, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has released his message to the Muslim faithful as they mark "EID-UL-MAWLID" tomorrow.
The Rivers State Governor, in his message called on the Muslim community in the State to use the celebration, marking the Eid-ul-Mawlid, which is the birth of Prophet Mohammed, to advance the cause of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among other religions in the state and country at large.
Governor Nyesom Wike, conveyed this message In a statement which was issued by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Rivers State Governor, in the person of Kelvin Ebiri.
The Rivers State Governor made it clear that his administration will continue to promote religious tolerance amongst all residents of the state.
He advised the Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the virtues of love, peace, patience, communal living and honesty which are qualities of Prophet Mohammed, in their daily lives.
The Rivers State governor also wished the Muslim community a wonderful Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration come tomorrow, and urged them to always pray for the government and people of the state.
