One of the news treading on all social media today is about what Bishop oyedepo, the general Overseer of Winners' Chapel International said about tithing and telling every christians that it is compulsory and not optional.
Many people debunk this saying and one of the Guys good at confronting Nigerian pastors on any of their words, Charles Awuzie a cyber-security expert and also CEO of Gemsbok Group, who lives in South Africa, also posted several messages against Bishop Oyedepo. He shared a testimony sent to him by a guy who did not pay his Tithe for 3 years and nothing good moves out of his life.

"This a powerful testimony....
Brother George stopped paying tithes after reading a post on this page... He thought his life would worse but after 3 year's bro George is now testifying that his financials improved big time.
Friends, in all honesty, Tithe only works for those eating it and that's why they preach it out of greed.
I stopped tithing and receiving tithes 6 years old ago...today, even if I retire from work now, my son will be forever sorted.
God didn't bless me because of tithe...he blessed me because of the finished work of Christ..... It is finished."
I don't know too much, but one thing I know is that if paying of tithe is working for you and God is blessing you continue with it, and if it is not working for other people let them check their ways if it is Godly ways, insulting someone or trying to make people feel bad about him not going to solve the problem. It is even written in the Bible that the paying of Tithe is good if you have enough.
