Drinking Alcohol Is No Sin, Drunkenness Is A Sin. It's Unscriptural To Preach Against Alcohol - Reno

Some Christians believe that drinking alcohol is a sin. In fact some Churches and men of God preach against it. Some believe that alcohol can influence one to do ugly things. Infact in some Churches alcohol can never be used for events that require drinks. Even some ladies have it as a standard no to marry a man that drinks alcohol. The issue of alcohol has been a major debate among Christians, especially in Nigeria.

Former spokesman to Ex President Goodluck Jonathan who is also a Pastor, Mr. Reno Omokiri has today made it clear that drinking alcohol is no sin.

According to the statement he made on his verified Twitter handle, Mr. Omokiri said that " Drinking alcohol is no sin. Drunkenness is sin. It is unscriptural to preach against alcohol. Even in heaven they drink wine (Matthew 26:29). Paul encouraged wine drinking (1 Tim 5:23). Scripture allows you use your tithe to buy alcohol (Deu 14:26)"

Alot of Christians will be surprised to hear this especially those who believe that alcohol is not good for a Christian. Mr. Omokiri is right here because the Bible never mentioned that alcohol is bad. Even Paul in the Bible said that taking alcohol isn't bad but being drunk. Even at the wedding at Cana in Galilee, Jesus Christ turned water into wine. Some Christians have tagged beer as the only thing that is alcohol, whereas, wine which some them and their Pastor take contains alcohol in a small quantity.
