15 Bible Verses To Strengthen You During Hard Times And Help You Bounce Back Stronger.


Everybody faces one or two challenges or hard times in life, we can't run away from it. We face the hard times to make us grow stronger and also to build us for our next chapter of life.

We can't tread the path of hard times by ourselves, we need our creator (God). He is the only one, we can call upon to strengthen us during the hard times.



It isn’t our strength that we need to rely on but the Lord’s strength. Drawing His strength not just during hard times but on a daily basis is the best way to walk through our days.

We can do that by speaking to him through his given word. Divine power is always waiting with outstretched arms to invigorate our weakness. 

We just need to tap into the Divine power by using the Bible verses about strength to encourage us, when we are walking through hard times.

1. Hope Of Better Tomorrow. 


Our strength is from the Lord. And as we wait on Him in prayer, the power of Christ will rest upon us. 


And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 


2. Christ my strength

Make no mistake about it. God wants you and I to be strong.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 


3. Wait Upon the Lord


 “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 



4. Armor of God


‘Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God.’ Ephesians 6:10-11 


5. Spirit of Power, Love and of Sound mind.


 ‘For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’ 2 Timothy 1:7 



6. Lord is my strength


The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. Habakkuk 3:19


7. God will be with you always


Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9


8. God's there for you.


I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2



9. Lord is my strength 


The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:7


10. Hope in the Lord


But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31


11. Faithful God 


But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3



12. Strength Giver


He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29


13. I am with you


So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10


14. My Fortress


But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16



15.  Ever present, Always there to help.


God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
