Most people hardly know where the dead go or stay after they die. Of course, we all know that it is appointed for man to die once and after that is judgement.
As a result, Christians believe that Jesus returned to Heaven after he died and resurrected on the 3rd day. Of course, such belief is not biblical.
Righteous and sinners cannot go to Heaven or Lake of Fire until after the judgement, which will take place after the rapture. No man knows the hour the event will take place.
In 1 Peter 3:17-19 kjv, the closest disciple of Jesus wrote that after the savior of the world died, he went to preach to Spirits who are in prison, which is a part of Hell (2 Peter 2:4kjv).
These spirits are simply the fallen angels who committed adultery with the women on earth before the flood. It was the evil relationships that led to the birth of giants in the Bible. Pending the time the Son of God will judge them — at the white throne judgement — they are kept in an underworld prison. That was where Peter said Jesus went to preach to them.
Surprisingly, some Christians believe angels do not need to hear the word of God or need to be saved. On the contrary, Peter said Jesus preached to them.
Before visiting the underworld prison, he was in Paradise, which is a place all saints, righteous people, are kept till the Day of Judgement.
How did I know?
In Luke 23:43 kjv, Jesus told the other thief, on the Cross, who believe in him that he would meet him in Paradise on the same day. His plan was not to go to Heaven; he went to the temporal abode —Paradise — of the good people who died in the Lord.
In addition to the two places, I’ve mentioned — 1. The underworld prison according to Peter; 2. Paradise according to Jesus, himself, he also went to the Heart of the earth.
The book of Matthew 12:40 kjv, Matthew told us the savior of the world went to the heart of the earth after he died. That means he visited the grave.
He recorded that there was a day the Pharisees and Scribes came to the Son of God to ask him for a sign, which he refused to give unto them. Instead, he told them the only sign they would see is the sign of Jonah, who spent 3 days and nights in the belly of fish. Just he as spent 3 days in the belly of fish, so the son of man would spend 3 days in the heart of earth.
Of course, he did as he told them. The very first place he went to was the grave yard. In fact, the grave opened on its own accord and the bodies of the Saints in them received back their souls from paradise, and they went to Jerusalem (Matthew 27:52,53 kjv).
In conclusion, Jesus spent his 3 days in three different places: In the grave, underworld prison and in paradise.
What amazes me most is the fact that people often say they see vision of the Heaven. I’m always wondering how they see
vision of heaven without seeing vision of
More so, most often they will mention the people they see in Heaven. Of course, this can’t be true as saints are still in Paradise, not heaven and all sinners — that are dead — are in Hell, not lake of fire, which is where all sinners and the devil will spend eternity (Revelation 20:10 KJV).
I pray you won’t miss your journey to paradise in Jesus name. Stay away from sin… LAKE OF FIRE is real.
