Our God is a God who wants the best for his children. He has promised to never leave nor forsake us. It is true that sometimes we go through though times. It is true that sometimes, things don't seem to work out well for us. It is also very true that there is something we can do about this.
A prayerless Christain is a powerless Christain. You don't expect the devil to just sit and watch you prosper without trying to stop you. So let's put on the armour of Christ and proclaim the name of the Lord to collect by force, what is meant for us.
Here are some Psalms we should hold on to;
1. Psalm 145:16 "You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing".
2. Psalm 67:7 "May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him".
3. Psalms 1:1-3
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,
"but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
"That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers"
4. Psalm 23:1-4
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
"he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me".
5. Psalms 138:7 "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me".
6. Psalms 84:11-12 "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
"Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you".
7. Psalm 146:5-7 "Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.
"He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.
"He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free."
If you have proclaimed all these Psalms in faith, then it is well with you in the mighty name of Jesus we have prayed, Amen.
