REVEALED: Check Out The Religion That Forbids The Consumption Of Meat, Chicken And Egg.

The Jains are just 4% of India's population, they are the smallest of the country's six major religious groups after Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism and Buddhism. They practice a religion called 'Jainism', which excercises non-violence and has strict rules for the protection of all lives, for this reason, they forbid the consumption of eggs, turkey, fish, meat or any poultry product. Jain vegetarianism is practiced by the followers of Jain culture and philosophy.

Jainism is an ancient religion from India which teaches that, the way to liberation and bliss is to live a harmlessness and renunciation life. They have three guiding principles, which are 'right belief, right knowledge and right conduct'. They believe anytime a person directly or indirectly supports killing or injury, it will be seen as an act of violence (himsa), which creates harmful reaction called karma. Jains believe non-violence is the most essential religious duty for everyone, because it is an indispensable condition for liberation from the cycle of reincarnation, which is the ultimate goal of all Jain activities.

It is one of the most rigorous or meticulous forms of spiritually motivated diet on the Indian subcontinent and the world at large and their cuisine is completely lacto vegetarian. They also don't eat underground vegetables such as carrot, potato, beetroot, garlic, onion etc, because, they don't want to injure small insects and microorganisms. According to them, they want to prevent the entire plant from getting uprooted and killed (it is practised by Jain ascetics and lay Jains).
