The Bible Allows You To Use Your Tithe To Buy Alcohol- Reno Omokri Tells Christians

The ex-spokesman of former Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Pastor Reno Omokri on Thursday took to various social media platforms to prove that drinking alcohol was biblical.

In a post on his Facebook page, Omokri said the Bible gives Christians the liberty to use their tithe to purchase alcohol, even spirits. He quoted Deuteronomy 14:26 to back himself up.

He noted that it isn't a sin to drink, that the only thing God frowns out is drunkenness.

He went ahead to buttress his points with various Bible characters and passages where God allegedly endorses intake of alcohol.

Quoting Matthew 26:29, Omokri said that they drink in heaven. He also made reference to 1 Timothy 5: 23 where he said Apostle Paul endorsed alcohol.

In reference to Psalms 104:15, the ex- presidential spokesperson said the purpose of alcohol was to gladden our hearts.

He then called on Christians to liberate themselves from church regulations and traditions. According, to him, Jesus has set them free and they need no further salvation than that.

He charged his followers not to allow men put them in bondage, calling on them to emancipate themselves from religious slavery.

It would be noted that many churches, especially in this part of the world, condemn intake of alcohol, saying it is a propeller of ungodliness.

What's your take on Reno Omokri's submission?
