Nigeria has witnessed a number of attacks in recent months. Some of them were triggered by comments from notable personalities. Therefore, people need to be careful what they say to the public so as not to make them condemn the government's efforts.
The founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, Pastor (Dr.) Paul Enenche, is one popular Nigerian who should be warned by the authorities not to say anything that could incite the public.
Featured during his church program; "Early Would I Seek You", the man of God was quoted as saying, "The mandatory vaccinations come from hell." That comment alone shouldn't come from a revered pastor like Pastor Paul.
According to a publication on the official Church News website, the pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Center said of his meeting: “In case you don't know, mandatory vaccination is from the pit of hell. No one should be injected with force for any reason. This is from the abyss of hell. To be prayed for. Anyone who is sick has the right to seek treatment and anyone of his choice can receive any medicine at any time. Even Almighty God gave man choice in the garden of Eden, only the devil leaves humans with no choice.
Pastor Enenche spoke in response to the Nigerian federal government issuing instructions to public service workers to ensure they are vaccinated before December 1, 2021.
Many people responded to Pastor Enenche's comments, and it all indicates that he used the wrong words in response to government instructions to officials in the country.
In my opinion, the man of God should be counseled and called to discipline so as not to incite people.
