2 prayers the Bible is against

There are many ways we hinder God in answering our prayers. We do this by making unnecessary mistakes we shouldn't have made while praying. Before you pray an effective prayer, it is important to study the Bible to know the prayers that are acceptable by God or not. It is on this note I bring to you, prayers the bible is against.

1. Prayer of hypocrisy

God detests prayers of hypocrisy to the core. When you form the habit of praying like the Pharisees who pray where people can see and praise them, you are praying the prayers of hypocrisy. God doesn't accept such prayers. You should pray in your closet where only God sees and reward you.

Let us read from the book of Matthew chapter 6:5-6

And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.  But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

2. Prayers to have someone else's spouse.

There have been several cases of people praying to marry someone else's husband/wife as the case may be. God is not interested in such prayers because He hates to see those He joined together being separated. If you are praying for Mr. A who is married to Mrs. B to divorce her and marry you because he is rich, stop such prayer.

As I said, God is not happy with those who pray to separate husband and wife. Let us read from the book of Luke 10:7-9

For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”.

If you have been praying in these directions, stop it for your own good. Please share this article.
