Deeper Meaning Of 1Corinthians 2:16 That You Need To Know.

God desires his children to know his mind (things he plans to do), and this is one of the reasons why he has given his Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth so that they can know his mind on his perfect will that is good, and acceptable, and according to 1Corinthians 2:10, the Spirit searches and knows all the deep things of God. Since God is a God of truth (Isaiah 65:16), his deep things (everything he plans to do) is the truth and John 8:32 reveals that the truth shall set free everyone that knows it. Knowing the mind of God about his deep things that are the truth will not only set you free but also help you overcome every temptation of the devil, and place you far ahead and above others, and 1Corinthians 2:16 reveals something deep about it that I want to share with you, and so I want you to read through the entire article as I present the deeper meaning of the scripture in details.

Here is the deeper meaning of 1Corinthians 2:16.

"For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ."

According to the first part of the scripture above, " For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?", this means who has the privilege of grace to access the mind of the Lord in other to instruct him. By who refers to anyone either male or female, and the Lord mention in the scripture refers to Jesus Christ, and since Philippians 2:11 established that Jesus Christ is Lord, it means that no one has access to know his mind and instruct him. This is because he is God as revealed in 1John 5:20, and only his Spirit can access his mind to know his deep things (what he thinks and plans to do).

" But we have the mind of Christ.", this second part of the scripture means that through the Spirit of Christ given to us, we have the mind of Christ, and this is because the Holy Spirit helps us to search all the deep things of God (Jesus Christ) and reveal them to us. Since it is clear that we have access to the mind of Christ (God) through his Spirit, we can instruct or counsel God because he has given us this privilege to know his mind (his deep things about his plans). In Genesis 18:17-32, God (Jesus Christ) reveal his mind to Abraham about what he wants to do to Sodom and Gomorrah and the people living there because of their sins, and immediately Abraham knows about the deep things of God concerning the city, he started to instruct the Lord not to destroy the righteous people in the city with the wicked ones, in other words, he interceded for the righteous people that live in Sodom and Gomorrah, that God should spare the city for the sake of the righteous ones, adding that God (Christ) should do what is right as the Judge of the whole earth.

Moses also instructed the Lord (Christ) when he revealed his mind about destroying the children of Israel in the wilderness for worshipping idols, and one way he instructed God was that if he should destroy the children of Israel whom he redeem and delivers with a strong hand out of Egypt, the nations of the world will say that the reason he (God) destroyed his people is that he doesn't have the power to bring them to the land he promised them, and when God hears the counsel of Moses, he changed his mind and did not destroy his people.

As children of God, we need to have the mind of Christ, know his deep things through the Holy Spirit, and instruct him where possible as Abraham and Moses did, and as he (God) listen to them, he will listen to us more because we have his mind.
