Joe Igbokwe who is the special adviser to the governor of Lagos State on water resources and drainage, has taken to his Facebook timeline to question the leadership of the churches in the southeastern region of the country over the killing of a priest by unknown gunmen alleged to be IPOB miscreants.

In the words of the Anambra state-born politician, "Have the churches in Igboland issued a statement condemning the killing of a priest by IPOB terrorists in Igboland while he was trying to protect school children taking their exams? What are they waiting for?"
Recall that on the 15th of September, media reports had it that unknown gunmen alleged to be associated with IPOB invaded the rectory of an Anglican priest, killing Rev. Emeka Merenu in Ihiteukwa, Orsu Council of Imo State. It was also gathered that the assailants after killing the priest, also burnt his car.
