An Open Letter To All Nigerians Criticizing Anointed Men Of God On The Subject Of Tithing

Inasmuch as everyone has freedom of speech, please let us know our limits. It almost seems whenever popular Men of God are preaching, Nigerians are busy finding fault. This has become a norm in our society.

Pastor David Oyedepo, the presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church, few days ago, talked about tithing. In his words which he tweeted,

"Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity, not just wealth is impossible without tithing, because when you are not paying your tithe, you are under a financial curse".

A lot of Nigerians have tongue lash and heap insults on Bishop Oyedepo. Some went as far as saying he is broke and needs money to fuel his private jet. If you don't believe in tithing, please seal your lips. Do not discourage those that practice it. We have tithers who have experienced the move of God in their lives.

Some Christians think that they are doing their Pastor a favor by paying tithe. How wrong are they? You are not doing anyone a favor. In the physical realm, you may feel you are enriching your Pastor. In the spirit realm, you are lending to God.

No matter what you think, there is no place in the New Testament where it was stated that tithing is abolished. I wonder where people that criticizes tithing get their doctrine from?

Dear Nigerians,

It's time for us to change our perspective on the doctrine of tithing. Men of God don't need your tithe or offerings to be blessed. God has already blessed them.

Paying of tithe is a way of acknowledging God's provision. It is a way of getting God involved in your financial life. When God steps into your finances, He will rebuke the devourer for your sake.

Honestly, if you know any scripture that forbids Christians from paying tithe, kindly share in the comment section below.
