To some people, those without a university degree can hardly become successful. But this is not so with Bishop Oyedepo as he said that he became successful even without a university degree.
Oyedepo who studied architecture at the Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin is the presiding Bishop of the megachurch, Winners' Chapel.
Oyedepo has through his ministry, Living Faith World Outreach, established two universities and many nursery, primary and secondary schools called Faith Academy. He is currently building a cathedral called the ARK, which will become one of the the largest church auditorium in the world when completed.
A couple of days ago, Oyedepo boasted that his ministry has never lacked money nor borrowed money from banks or individuals. He said God has always provided his needs.
What is the secret of his success?
While speaking on Friday during the Covenant Hour of Prayers on Facebook, Oyedepo revealed the secret of his success. He said that the secret of success is in obeying the word of God stated in Matthew 6:33.
"A man without a degree, now a General Manager, 6 figure salary, a driver, a car, now employer of labour (documented testimony). What is your qualification? Matthew 6:33 What is your profile? Matthew 6:33." he said.
What is in Matthew 6:33?
Matthew 6:33 says "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
This Bible verse was Jesus's statement to his disciples. He made the statement to encourage them to make the kingdom of God their priority. And in doing so, everything will fall in place for them. According to Bishop Oyedepo, when he started obeying this Bible verse, some people called him mad. He explains that serving God at any level in quest for souls to be saved and established in the Kingdom guarantees open rewards.
Oyedepo went further to disclose that he had been trading Matthew 6:33 for 45 years and never had any regret or rethink.
