Brighten up your day with these word of God

Topic: Let truth build your life.

Bible Verse: "I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." (Acts 20:32)

"Just check the info online" the history teacher, Liam, said to his students, but Derrick, one of Liam's pupil's knew better; he knew that solely relying on the internet, as corrupt as it was now, for accurate information about the World War 2 history assignment would land him in a deep rabbit hole. Instead, he found a living World war 2 veteran, who had fought in that war; he gathered more answers than his other classmates who scorned that he'd resorted to " archaic methods." Sure enough, he returned with truthful, accurate, firsthand information that helped him ace the History course.

Similarly, many in today's world rather base their lives on the misinformation, assumptions, and theories of men rather than on the accuracy of God's Word. Unlike this world and everything in it, you can rely on the Word; it's infallible and immutable; it's forever and it must be the source of the information you live by. The Internet, which many consult for information, has been corrupted and invaded with misinformation to rob you of your faith in the Bible and Jesus Christ. The news, social media platforms, statistics, figures are mostly junk.

Sometimes, you hear them say things like, "According to the experts, over a billion people will end up in poverty by 2023," or Research has shown that everybody in a certain region will be infected by a deadly virus." Don't find yourself in that crowd. They also write things against the Bible, against what Jesus and the prophets said. They claim to find contradictions in the Bible and that it should be reviewed. These are misguided minds and deceivers void of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is the only reliable, truth-filled material on the face of the earth. When you stand before the Lord, He's not going to ask you what your history teacher or professor taught you. He's going to ask you about His Word because the information inside it was God-inspired.

Our opening verse describes the ministry of the Word in giving you direction in life. No matter what you hear or read, follow only the guidance and direction of the Word. Build your life on God's truth.

Let's Pray: Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Scriptures. I open my heart and mind to your Word, to be guided as I yield to the tremendous power of the Holy Spirit today. As I study the Word, I receive understanding and insight in fulfilling my purpose in you, in Jesus Name. Amen.

If your day is brightened up, comment Hallelujah.
