"There are many altars in the life of a christian that the devil wants to destroy."-Pastor Adeboye

Pastor E.A Adeboye (General overseer,Redeem Christian Church of God) revealed how important is it for one to be a true christian. He stated that it's a privilege for one to be a living temple of God on earth :a place where God abides and exhibits His majesty. The temple bears the altar of God;and the altar is very significant in worship because it symbolises the throne of God.

The man of God also noted that whenever we sin,we are breaking down God's altar;and we must repair the altar if we need to be prosperous in our endeavours. "As believers, there are many lessons we can learn from the Scripture reading of today. We see that there is a possibility of breaking down God's altar. When a child of God commits sin, he or she breaks down the altar of God.When that happens, the fellow needs to repair the broken altar before he or she can make progress spiritually, physically and materially," He said. Therefore,if we want fo make progress in life,we need to repair God's broken altar which we have destroyed..

Pastor Adeboye also used the story of Prophet Elijah against the Prophets of Baal as a case study: Elijah repaired God's altar and God answered him by fire;therefore we ought to imitate Elijah because when we do,our insufficiencies becomes a history and our weakness turned to strength. The man of God also said,"There are many altars in the life of a christian that the devil wants to destroy. These include the altar of praise, the altar of prayer, the altar of faith, to mention just a few."

Finally,Pastor Adeboye advised us not to allow the devil say otherwise to us; a broken altar can be repaired and as we do,the Lord will turn our lack to abundance in Jesus name
