Three Reasons Why God Is Not Speaking To You

Just as our God spoke to Moses and Elijah in the Bible, God is still speaking to us in this generation. In the book of Ezekiel 12:25, the Bible says:

"For I the Lord will speak, and whatever word I speak will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it,” declares the Lord God."

However we have to be sensitive and attentive to hear from God because he is ready to speak to us. Unfortunately, some people no longer hear from God because God is not speaking to them. Here are three reasons why God is not speaking to them:

1. Sin

God hates sin and if you are living in sin then you should not expect God to speak to you. He will instead focus on those who are ready to live for him and not on those who continue to disobey His commandment. He is a merciful God and if you're ready ro obey him, then you must give your life totally to him. After that, you will start hearing from him.

2. You are not reading His word

One of the most efficient way to get God speaking to you is by reading His word. When you read the word of God and you need more clarification, God will always be there to enlighten you as long as you have the Holy Spirit In You. He speaks to you through the lyrics of his word and explains the words to you to the best of your understanding.

3. You are not attentive

Where you cannot differentiate between the word of God and the word of the Devil, then you might not hear from Him. When He speaks to you, you're not attentive to him which is because you are listening to other voices that are around you. When you ask Him to speak to you and you remain attentive, you will hear Him speak.

In conclusion, there are basic things to understand when it comes to hearing from God. God is ready to speak to you if you are ready to listen. What is expected is for you to pay attention and try to discern the voice of the Spirit of God. It is very important as Christians to listen to the voice of God.
