"God told me to go to Nigeria and free people from poverty” — Actor, Williams Uchemba reveals

Williams Uchemba, a popular Nollywood actor, has revealed that God commanded him to come to Nigeria and relieve the people from poverty.

On Thursday, Williams Uchemba shared his experience and how he received instructions from God while on vacation on his verified Instagram profile.

On his page, he wrote:

“I hate to break it to you, but God's plans for you are usually nothing like what you have planned for yourself. Let me tell you a story.

I was laying in my California bed when I received an instruction from God to go to Nigeria and free people from poverty. At first, I pretended I didn't hear because I couldn't imagine God telling me to leave the beautiful life he has given me and the small savings I have to go into the slums of Nigeria and help strangers I don't even know.

Well, one of the ways you know it's God/Holy Spirit speaking is when he tells you things you can't tell yourself and that your flesh won't like.

For weeks, the voice was continuous, so I started assisting a few white folks on the streets of Los Angeles (I still have some of the videos on my website), but I discovered that the more I did that, the more I felt terrible, empty, and out of line with God's plan because it was not what I was told to do.

It took me two months to finally agree to travel to Nigeria, and as soon as I stepped off the plane in Lagos, a heavy compassion for the less fortunate quadrupled in my heart. I was expecting God to give me billions because he had asked me to help people, but instead, he gave me a heart of compassion for the poor, and before I knew it, I was emptying my account to help people.

You don't help people because you have to; you help them because you want to and are moved by their suffering, and God, who knows your heart, will provide what you require.

God makes PROVISION for you whenever he gives you a VISION, and because our ways are not God's ways, what you think is the proper way for you may be the opposite for God ( Isaiah 55:8-9)

8

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” the Lord proclaims.

9

“My ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts, just as the skies are higher than the earth.”

The only reason for the platform is to fulfill God's Purpose.
