Muslims fasting on the day of Eid-el-kabir (Big Salah)

Eid-el-kabir is fast approaching and it's a huge festival because capable muslims are required to sacrifice a Ram or Cow to mark the celebration.

It is an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim also know as Abraham to follow Allah's command to sacrifice his son.

Capable muslims are required to fast on the day of Eid-el-kabir as it is a sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw). The fast will be from dawn till after the Eid prayer have been conducted and some Hadith says the fast can be terminated after the Eid Ram or Cow has been slaughtered by the imam.

Every capable muslim should observe this fast because it's just for few hours and it attracts a lot of Blessings from the Almighty. You are free to eat whatever you like after Eid prayer has been conducted.

If you are capable of slaughtering a Ram go ahead and do it, but make sure you do not do these things listed below:

Borrowing money to buy a Ram or collecting loan,

Slaughtering a Ram to impress your fellow mankind,

Slaughtering a premature Ram.

If you find yourself doing these things, you may not get the Blessings from the Eid-el-kabir celebration.
