Pastor Kumuyi Reveals What The Bible Tells Us To Do About Judging

When faced with an argument of what is right and wrong, many are quick to quote Matthew 7:1 which says, "Judge not, that ye be not judged."

The question now is, does the Holy Bible commands that we should not judge at all?

In a Monday Bible Study which held on Monday, 28th December, 2020, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi gave a systematic and expository teaching of the word of God where he revealed a succinct explanation of what the Bible says about judging.

The message was titled “The Stewards of The Mysteries of Christ” and the main text was taken from the book of 1st Corinthians chapter 4 verses 1 – 5.

He posits that, you cannot judge the ministry but you can judge the character. If someone claims to be a minister but is not working according to the disposition of the word of God, you can compare them with the word of God. You can tell if someone is not working according to the disposition of the truth.

There are people who misbehave (they are wicked, cruel, rebellious, unrighteous and unholy) and say judge not; you should be able to judge and put them away from yourself.

Self-discipline will prevent Church discipline.

When we are judged, it is so that we will not be condemned with the world

"For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world" (1st Corinthians 11:31-32).

"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement" (John 7:24).

Leave all judgement which you do not understand to the Lord. "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day," (John 12:48).

There is judgement coming and this is the time to prepare so that the day of reckoning do not meet you unawares.

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement:" (Hebrews 9:27).

There is judgement of everything we have done and every opportunity we have missed or wasted.

When the day of reckoning shall come then you will be free from condemnation. On that day, you will not regret or be cast away, you will appear before the Lord in Jesus Name.

Are you ready to meet your Lord? Make yourself ready as the power of God for salvation is still available today.
