2 Popular Nigerian Pastors Who Are Active In The Medical Profession Alongside Their Ministries

The work of the ministry provides every minister with the platform to fulfill God's call concerning their lives. However, it does not stop one from fulfilling one's profession, as directed by God.

Some pastors have found a way of merging two important aspects of their lives - profession and ministry - so that rather than clash, they complement themselves.

This article, therefore, aims at revealing two popular pastors who are active with the work of the ministry and their medical professions. That is:

1. Paul Enenche

Paul Enenche is the founder and senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC), a ministry whose headquarter church is based in Abuja.

Enenche, who studied Medicine and Surgery at the University of Jos (UNIJOS), claimed to have fully practiced the medical profession full-time for more than a year before the Lord confirmed his call into ministry, after a 3-day prayer and fasting program.

However, Enenche, though a full-time pastor, is still active in his medical profession, and this has been revealed in the medical outreaches he undertakes alongside his wife, Becky Enenche, who is also a medical doctor.

During the pandemic in 2020, the Enenches were actively involved in medical outreaches.

For instance, they visited the Primary Health Care Centre at Lugbe, FCT Abuja to supply medical equipment and the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, for the same purpose

2. Daniel Olukoya

Daniel Olukoya is the founder and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), a ministry whose headquarter church is located along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Olukoya studied Microbiology at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and eventually received a scholarship to run a doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Molecular Genetics at the University of Reading, United Kingdom.

Today, Olukoya is recognized as a Geneticist and Biotechnologist of African Origin and has a research institute called Daniel & Fola Biotechnology Foundation, where he still actively contributes his quota to the field.

Conclusion

It is possible to merge one's professional skills into ministry work, just as Olukoya and Enenche have successfully done. That way, one can effectively touch lives beyond the confines of the pulpit ministry.
